51小湿妹 Academy of Performing Arts
Our commitment to the Arts is demonstrated through various co-curricular activities and opportunities as much as through curriculum subjects. These take place through our Academy of Performing Arts, which helps students to develop the disciplines required to work in performance settings. Students develop their creativity and talents, applying them in various productions and performances to provide real-life experiences.
Music
51小湿妹 offers a wide variety of ensembles, bands, choirs and orchestras. These groups are led by experienced and professional directors with a passion for excellence in music. Through rehearsals and performances, 51小湿妹 students develop their creativity and talents, while productions provide real-life experience in collaborating with the various arts genres within the College.
Music tuition is also available. This allows students the opportunity to work towards performances and increases motivation to practice and work towards learning outcomes.
Dance
Students have the opportunity to experience the excitement of rehearsing with other dancers who are committed to extending their dance technique, creative skills and performance level.
Performances are an integral part of 51小湿妹 Dance, and all group members perform in a variety of community and school-based events. 51小湿妹 Dance fosters a spirit of cooperation, self-discipline, self-respect and a sense of responsibility and helps to foster joy and a sense of accomplishment among participants.
Theatre
The acting and theatre program is a great opportunity for students who are interested in trying and developing their acting skills. Students will work with others who share a love for performance, aiming to develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment. These ensembles are led by industry professionals.
Additional workshops and intensives may be held with clinicians engaged in specialist areas. There is an array of performance opportunities including assemblies, showcases and shows. Students are encouraged to pursue additional drama to further extend their skills.聽
Musical
51小湿妹 musicals shine brightly on our College calendar, held biennially and fuelled by our passionate arts team and the Academy of Performing Arts.
Students dive into every aspect, from singing and dancing to acting, painting, building, and rehearsing, pouring their hearts into a year-long journey of creativity and dedication. With the support of 30 staff members and industry professionals, their hard work dazzles over 2,000 audience members across five unforgettable shows, showcasing their remarkable talents.
