At 51СʪÃÃ, we believe leadership is not just a title—it’s a calling to influence others for good and for God. As our Year 11 students prepare to enter their final year of schooling, they are being equipped to lead with Faith, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
This term, three key experiences have shaped their leadership journey: the Student Leadership Summit, a targeted Year 11 workshop, and the Leadership Handover Assembly.

Leadership Summit: Building Foundations
Our newly elected Student Leaders for 2026 began their journey at the annual Leadership Summit—an immersive three-day experience designed to deepen their understanding of Christ-centred leadership. Through collaborative activities, reflective sessions and team-building challenges, students explored what it means to lead with conviction and compassion. Supported by staff, they began forming their leadership portfolios and setting a vision for the year ahead.
Year 11 Workshop: Discovering Influence
Following the summit, the broader Year 11 cohort engaged in a leadership workshop facilitated by Sarah McCutcheon from Next Gen, the . The session focused on developing authentic confidence—not pride or ego—and encouraged students to recognise their unique influence in shaping the culture around them. It was a timely reminder that leadership begins with character and is expressed through service.

Leadership Handover Assembly: A Moment of Commissioning
The journey culminated in a powerful Leadership Handover Assembly, where our Year 12 leaders passed the mantle to the Year 11 cohort. It was a moment of peer-to-peer encouragement and honour. The Class of 2025 championed the next generation of leaders, affirming their readiness to step forward.

Senior badges were presented to the Year 11 students, symbolising their transition into senior leadership. Our new student presidents, vice presidents and leadership team shared their vision for 2026, anchored by the focus word: Serve. This word will guide their leadership as they seek to lead with humility, compassion and a heart for others.
We pray that our students will be examples to their peers and the wider community leading not for recognition, but to make a meaningful impact.

Workshop Leader, Sarah McCutcheon shares insights about Year 11 Cohort
After our training seminar, I had the honour of attending their leadership assembly, where the Year 12 leaders officially passed the school emblems to the Year 11s. It was powerful to witness a culture of peer-to-peer leadership—students raising up students, calling out greatness, and championing each other to lead with vision.
