We are delighted to celebrate our students’ outstanding achievements in Mathematics. Performing with distinction, our students have excelled in national competitions, with our brightest students in the top 10% of the nation. One exceptional Year 9 student, Hansen Z, is one of Queensland’s top Mathematics students and is part of the national top 100 cohort.
The talent of our students is nurtured and supported by our dedicated and gifted teachers. This year, the honoured 51Сʪ with its highest accolade — the 2026 Gold Maths Active School Award.

AMC Results Showcase Student Achievement
The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) challenges students to think critically and solve complex problems. This year, our students delivered exceptional results:
- Year 3: 13 Distinctions, 2 High Distinctions
- Year 4: 14 Distinctions, 4 High Distinctions
- Year 5: 27 Distinctions, 4 High Distinctions
- Year 6: 11 Distinctions

APSMO Olympiad Success
Our Year 6 students excelled in the APSMO Maths Olympiad, with several placing in the top 10% nationally. Congratulations to the Top 10% achievers:

Advanced Mathematics Achievement: Hansen Z (Year 9)
Hansen has excelled in the MathHQ–Pre-AIMO program, earning a Special Mention Certificate for a perfect score on the Term 2 Prac. Paper and participating in the national top 100 cohort. Hansen has also been invited to the Term 4 Olympiad Program – Proof and Algebra, recognising him as one of Queensland’s top mathematics students. His outstanding achievements this year include:

- MathHQ Advanced Number Theory – High Distinction
- “Have Some Fun Online” – 1st Place

Teacher Achievement: Mr Nicholas Lim
Congratulations to Mr Nicholas Lim, Secondary Head of Mathematics, recognised as a 2026 Gold Maths-Active Educator by the Queensland Association of Mathematics Teachers. This honour also celebrates the contributions of Mr Lim to Mathematics education in Queensland, including authoring chapters in leading senior Mathematics textbooks.
